EDIT as of 04/28/2024: There services have deteriorated so much that in two weeks they have either sent me the wrong number of rotis or no rotis/rice at all. Their customer support team is inaccessible and extremely rude and cannot resolve any issues. I would strictly discourage anyone from subscribing to their appalling standards of service. I was a customer of Yogi's Tiffin Services from September 2022 to March 2023 (6 Months). In this time I have tried almost all of their dishes from the North Indian Thali (as well as a few Special menu offerings), talked with many customer support agents and accumulated various other service related experiences. This qualifies me to vouch for their tiffin service with respect to various parameters enlisted below. Food Quality - (4/5): The food for the most part is great. They have a good assortment of various veg and non veg selections on. The taste was almost always great, hygenic and good for health. One place where it does lack is the quality of rotis and rice. Even though they say they use whole wheat flour, I and many of friends with whom I shared the tiffins on a regular basis have felt that maida (white flour) is used to prepare rotis. Rice is okay for the most part but sometimes the rice we received happens to be slightly undercooked. Overall: 3/5: On the whole, they are a great tiffin service provider. They do have some strengths like the option to select menus conveniently, customer service and various other customization options like pausing, changing address etc. However they really need to improve some fundamental things like their kitchen issues like packaging the correct items, prevention of roti machine breakdown and logistics (consistent delivery times). Over time these issues have deteriorated to the point where they have lost at least my subscription (4 customers). I really hope the owner sees this review as an opportunity to work on these shortcomings. You’re welcome Mr. Yogi!
Yogi's Kitchen = Oye! Sick thing! (anagramatically speaking) OVERALL EXPERIENCE In their own words, Yogi’s Kitchen is "a modern, customer-oriented, and technology-based platform committed to making life easier and convenient for those struggling for their lunch and dinner meals with delivery". I agree with their self-assessment because for the past few months that I've being their customer, we've not had to worry about where the next meal is coming from - be it rain or shine (or even snow!), the neatly and sustainably packed and labeled food packages are delivered to our home punctually on the days of our choice! Based on my experience with Yogi's, they offer a consistently good meal service, tasty food, and punctual delivery of meals to one's doorsteps. They have a very neat and professional website and app where you can view/select/ compare meal plans, choose from/update weekly menus, pause/resume service, chat with customer service, etc. Their customer service is good with prompt and efficient folks at the customers' beck and call. MEAL PLANS Yogi's offers three meal plans - Basic, Standard and Exclusive, and they have a nice tabular comparison of these options on their website and app. They have regular sales and discounts for their subscription plans for a month or more, so definitely good value for money. Once you sign up for a plan, the meal credits are reflected in your account, which allows you to view and select from the daily menus for the ongoing week. After lots of assessment initially, we had selected the Standard Plan, and it had been good so far. MEAL PACKAGES Yogi's Kitchen offers multiple meal packages (Single, Couple, Triple, Family), and the larger package sizes are accompanied by discounts. We opted for the single package which is good enough for two meals of a person with a healthy appetite! FOOD The food quality is pretty good with most items being tasty plus giving the feeling of their being made homemade. The food quantity is quite a lot, plus they don't repeat any dish in a week. Still the downside is that, as with any other type of food, continuously consuming their meals across weeks becomes repetitive and monotonous. So, it's important to space out the packages using their meal pause option! Also, their special meals are not the best (Biryani is too greasy) and Continental options are okayish. DELIVERY Though they have a meal pickup option, Yogi's delivery service is their USP and steals the limelight. Their delivery coverage is extensive and they cover most of Metro Vancouver, though certain areas are not in their scope. Their live order tracking feature is neat, and their delivery folks such as Navjot and Lakshay are fantastic for the consistently good delivery service they provide! CSR Yogi's Kitchen guarantees a 100% REFUND if you are not satisfied with their service, and promise to issue a refund for the unused portion of the service. Their portal states that they're committed to contributing to the society, and they promise to feed the dispossessed people in Canada. How neat is that! PRO TIPS Yogi's offers TRIAL PLANS for one day and one week on their Standard and Exclusive Plans. Checking out the weekly trial plan upfront gave us a good idea of what we were signing up for. So, please make sure to use this option before subscribing for a longer duration meal plan. They do have a REFERRAL scheme that benefits the referrer and the referred person. There food is just pathetic. I can't express how dissatisfied I am with their services. When you buy the subscription they deliver on time and after a few days they start showing their true colours. I remember once they delivered food at 12 o'clock at night. They sent these rice, they smell awful.When I called them up all they could do is apologize. I told them to ask their delivery guy to smell the rice to which they refused because they knew that there was a mistake at their end.
Liars, thieves and utterly incompetent customer care. Stay away and take any other tiffin service you can! We signed up for a month and very quickly realised that it was a terrible mistake. The food was horrible and never on time. They would just randomly not deliver without even notifying us. They will apologize every time without doing anything to change their service or become better. After a week, we cancelled the service and then still haven't given us the money back after 2 months! They lie every time we call them that they'll give us the refund right away. Throw your money away rather than using this shady scam service.
After having first few days of Yogi's kitchen food. I have to say that I haven't had this kind of food in past few years. The taste makes me feel like a home made food. And gives a really satisfying experience. Quantity - 10/10, quality - 10/10, and services 2/10. Edit: 11/11/22 - I have noted that after this review the tiffin service continued to have inaccurate packing service with pack of sabji/roti/rice or some times the extra food which is ordered is even not there. It's not very reliable in context of order accuracy. And don't have much to offer to make better customer service gesture for the complaints. The complaints are not being taken in consideration even after 2-3 times the problem was raised. They call of marketing and subscription never give a call if they have missed something in your order. They wait for you to complain and whenever customer complain they just offer credit. Which really doesn't help you to have a meal which was missing in the order.
